Experiment 3: black steel plate (3 mm)

After setting-up everything, we start engraving by clicking on Start button. The result of the material test is shown in (1). From the result obtained, we can say that it is impossible to cut through the steel plate because the laser output power is limited to 40W and we aren’t willing to cut steel plates, the main objective is to engrave on such metal plates. Check the video below.

- Also, we have engraved on a metallic knife and the result is show in (2).

• After applying the material test on the steel plate, we are able to prepare the following table below that demonstrates the engraving parameters settings for steel.
