STEP 7: setup the Lightburn software

1.  Download the Lightburn software using the following link: https://github.com/LightBurnSoftware/deployment/releases/download/1.5.02/LightBurn-v1.5.02.exe

2. Install the software and run the program and the setup window will open as shown in (1), click on OK button to activate the software for 30 days trial.

3. Look for the machine by clicking on “Find my laser” and add the machine to the program as shown in (2) and click on OK, then click on Next to add it.

4. Setup the machine position, the dimensions of the engraving area, and “Home” the machine to determine the boundaries of the engraving area as shown in (3). (Note: “Homing” requires the connection of the limit switches, so make sure that they are connected before “Homing”).

5. After setting-up everything, click on Finish, then click on OK to start working with the software as shown in (4).

The Lightburn software will be used to test the machine as it has a user-friendly interface, it mostly looks like the Windows Paint program, also, the software provides more controlling and engraving abilities for the users other than LaserGRBL and MKSLaser software
