In order to engrave with MKSLaser application, we need to insert a memory card in the controller to save the file that will be engraved. The memory card slot is shown in (1). (Note: The memory card can be in the range of 4 ~ 64 GB).
Go to the WiFi settings in your smartphone, look for the network “MKS_DLC” and connect to it as shown in (2).
Run the application on your smartphone, the home page will open, click on the chain-icon at the top-left corner, type the IP address “192.168.4.1” under the “WiFi Connect” tab as shown in (3).
Click on the “Material” tab to choose one of the pre-designed shapes shown in (4).
After choosing the design, the style window will open to set the adjustments required as shown in (5). You may choose one of the four engraving styles: Gray, Strong, Sketch, and Dither. The styles are explained as follow:
Gray: To engrave the design with low laser power.
Strong: To engrave the design with high laser power.
Sketch: To engrave the borders of the design.
Dither: To engrave the design with dotted structure.
Click on next “right-arrow” at the right-bottom corner as shown in (5), the “Params” window will open as shown in (6). This allows the user to set the size of the design, engraving speed, and the laser power. After setting the parameters, click on the squared-arrows icon to check the position of the engraving area. Then click on the laser icon to start.
A confirmation window will pop-up as shown in (7) to start the engraving process, click on “confirm” to start engraving.
The graving window will open as shown in (8). This window demonstrates the completion percentage, the X-Y coordination, the laser power (S), and the focus (F). You may also control the laser power and the engraving speed while the process is running as shown in (9).
When engraving is done, a window will pop-up to notify user as shown in (10).
